During our work on audiobooks, we especially recognized the great need for this service among our blind and visually impaired brothers and sisters.
This was the seed of an idea that significantly evolved into a project dedicated to People of Determination across the Arab world. It became a fusion of digital publishing services, authors, and individuals with special needs (People of Determination).
Project Idea
– Creating a dedicated application for People of Determination, offering a free library of audiobooks and digital books.
– Partnering with authors and publishers to obtain approval for publishing books on the People of Determination app in both audio and digital formats for free.
– Publishing audiobooks and digital books on global platforms that generate sales and revenue for authors and publishers.
– Distributing the revenue between the author and the project to fund the recording and publishing of new books.

The project idea is the first of its kind in the Arab world and globally, offering significant benefits for Arab authors and individuals with special needs. It also contributes to the advancement of the Arabic cultural sector, as it is essential for this field to transition into audio and digital publishing.
We have developed a specialized application for the visually impaired that relies on voice guidance, allowing blind users to navigate the app without using their sight. This is achieved through voice commands and simple screen taps—once or twice—in different directions (up, down, right, or left).
The app offers additional features such as:
– Resuming audio playback.
– Searching for books by author name, book title, or category.
– Listening to audiobooks with options to skip forward or backward.
– A voice assistant available in both male and female voices.
This innovative app has been thoroughly tested and received highly positive feedback from visually impaired users worldwide.
